Bedford County is a lovely area to visit and offers many activities that visitors and their guests can enjoy. The county is a mecca for Pennsylvania antiques, quaint covered bridges (one is located less than 2 miles from the farm), mountain biking, canoeing (the Raystown branch of the Juniata River is less than 1 mile from the farm), fly fishing - the list is endless. Evonly Equestrian Center is an easy drive from the Washington-Baltimore suburbs, less than 2 hours west of Frederick, Md., and is a 2 hour drive from Harrisburg, Pittsburgh, and Winchester, W.Va., and less than 90 minutes from State College, Pa.

Directions from Washington-Baltimore: Take I-70 West to Breezewood. At the Breezewood Exit (traffic light) turn left onto Route 30 West toward Everett. Stay on Route 30 for about 8 miles, go past two gas stations (Mobile and BP) and take the exit ramp (a right-hand turn) to Route 26 North (Huntingdon/Raystown Lake). Go about 8 miles, coming to a CoGo's gas station/convenience store on the left. Turn left immediately after the gas station onto Route 36 north (Roaring Spring). Go about 2 miles, down a hill and over a bridge and pass a log cabin on the right. Take the next hard road to the right (which is just before the New Frontier Restaurant). Go 1.2 miles, pass a pond on the left, R&L Insulation on the left, go across a small concrete bridge. The lane is on the left immediately following the bridge. Go up the lane, bearing to the right at the first fork. The barn/house is about 1/3rd of a mile off the main road.

Directions from the North (Altoona and points North): I-99 to the Roaring Exit (Route 36 South). Follow Route 36 South about 13 miles. Go through Woodbury; past Northern Bedford High School; continue to follow Route 36 South, about 2 miles from the High School, go through a gap in the Mountains and look for New Frontier Restaurant on left. Turn left on hard road immediately after the restaurant. Go 1.2 miles, pass a pond on the left, R&L Insulation on the left, go across a small concrete bridge. The lane is on the left immediately following the bridge. Go up the lane, bearing to the right at the first fork. The barn/house is about 1/3rd of a mile off the main road.

Directions from the West (Pittsburgh and points West): Pennsylvania Turnpike to Bedford Exit. At the end of the exit ramp turn left up the hill, following signs to I-99. Take I-99 South to the second exit (Everett Route 30 East). Follow Route 30 East about 8 miles to the exit for Route 26 North, Huntingdon. Go about 8 miles on Rt. 26 North, coming to a CoGo's gas station/convenience store on the left. Turn left immediately after the gas station onto Route 36 north (Roaring Spring). Go about 2 miles, down a hill and over a bridge and pass a log cabin on the right. Take the next hard road to the right (which is just before the New Frontier Restaurant).
